The Road I Strengths, organized by the City and the Navy, made a very good taste, with great success for participation, 2,000 runners completed the 1300 Queua test successfully, and the general comment that organization was a great example of coordination and security along the 50 km journey through the castles and coastal batteries that make our coast.
The first to reach the goal was the Cartagena Miguel ngel Fernndez Roca, and did so in just 4 hours and 8 minutes, about 12.00 noon, and the rest, except the 400 participants who remained in the road were coming sparingly until 8 pm.
Despite the hardness of the test, the large number of people who came to the end shows the level reached in it.
This is the case of Murcia Esther Sanchez, who took the test in five hours and eight minutes, becoming the first woman to finish floor line, with the addition of the next day ran a marathon in Granada.
Younger also had their own route, with up to the Castle de la Concepcion, and the juveniles were 11 of the 50 kilometer run overall.
TRIBUTE TO SOLDIERS KILLED IN HAITI
The euphoria of the day was marred by the accident that killed the day before four soldiers in a helicopter accident in Haiti, which they paid tribute and a souvenir after the hoisting of the flag at the port, just before starting the test, an act which was attended by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and the Maritime Action Admiral Emilio Nieto Manso.
