The Minister of Economy and Finance, Inmaculada García, opened today in Cartagena the eighth edition of 'Telecofórum', the first technical session of the Tenth Annual Forum of the Information Society 'SICARM', which aims to bring every citizen, business and professionals the new technologies and latest developments in the areas of Computer and Telecommunications over the next three days.
Garcia said that "this meeting is already a must every year, attended by companies, public institutions, research groups and university departments related to Information Technology and Communication, presenting their products and teach pointers cycles conferences on technical and informative. "
The Minister of Economy and Finance noted that, as advocated by the regional government from the Ministry, "technology is the engine of momentum for change, development and therefore progress."
With SICARM, said the minister, "we try to make citizens, entrepreneurs and professionals can feel the latest innovations and become familiar with them."
On April 8 technology demonstrations began in Caravaca de la Cruz, yesterday closed at Cehegín, and soon come to four municipalities: Lorca, Los Alcazares, Beniel and Murcia.
Telecofórum is the first of SICARM technical seminars, which will follow the 'Day ICT for Social Welfare and Health', in Lorca on 4 May and the 'Workshop of the audiovisual industry platform' at the Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia, 17 and 18 May.
In addition, the Auditorium and Congress Center will host the activities Murcia 'Days of digital journalism,' 'Freeview HD' and 'Digital Entertainment', among others.
