The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, today the conference "Materials, Nature and Sustainability.
Materials innovation and intelligence of materials ", including the activities of the Centre of Design and Architecture in the Region of Murcia, and in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
The conference will have 120 enrolled, comprising students from the UPCT and members of the industrial sector.
The director general, accompanied by the manager of the Seneca Foundation, Antonio González and the scientific director and professor at the School of Design Elisava Barcelona, Javier Peña, said: "The fundamental idea is to spread what are the new materials and what applications in the field of architecture and design, the possibility that the materials are adapted to the uses and what are their production processes. "
He added that "we are facing a revolution in the technology field since it clearly has enormous industrial impact in this conference we will try to qualified experts not only disseminate knowledge but also bring out the work that this direction is being developed in the Region of Murcia. "
The journey has a first part on the new relationship with nature and how they open pathways to sustainability.
The second discusses the relationship of material to the environment through the understanding of the material.
And the third on the manufacture and revolution presented by the new additive fabrication technologies.
The working groups are formed by a group of qualified experts to develop conferences on various topics within their area, and address a group discussion in debate.
