Cartagena welcomes 17 and April 18 a major sporting event, the 29th Tour of U23 Elite Cartagena Murcia, that despite the crisis and the adverse circumstances out a year later, though less days, converted and an emblem of the region, as noted by the Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez, who was accompanied by Director General of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, Secretary of the Cycling Federation of Murcia, Lina Garcia, and Chairman of Cycling Club Cartagena, Juan Vera, in the presentation of the Tour.
The trial, involving 16 teams, will take place in two stages, first, on Saturday 17 April, with a distance of 129 kilometers Cavite Heroes will depart at 10.00 am and will end in Alhama de Murcia, which Council also works with this event.
The second and final phase will take place on Sunday April 18, with a distance of 149 kilometers to bypass all Azohía Cartagena and will start and finish at the Alameda de San Antón.
The novelty of this edition of the Tour of Cartagena is in the confirmation of the participation of the Russian team amateur, which are characterized by their hardness and to impose a strong pace in testing involved.
The budget of the race amounts to 37,000 euros, which are provided by region and City of Cartagena with the collaboration of Alhama de Murcia.
As for the winners, 4,200 euros will be distributed in prizes.
