High-level Piano Strings and Metals Among (13/04/2010)

The Hall of the Conservatory of Music received yesterday afternoon the final competition of young performers of classical music in the form of piano.

The seven finalists, Francisco José García Verdú, David López Escudero, Luis Losada Miguel Abellán, José Manuel Canovas Ruiz, Olga Albasini Garaulet, Angel Martinez and Sergio House Colmeiro Salgado, demonstrated a high level in the implementation of parts made it difficult the jury's decision will be made public at the closing ceremony next May.

The closing ceremony and awards to the winners will take place on May 7, at 20.00 pm in the Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Campus Muralla del Mar, beginning with a concert by the winner in the previous edition of this competition in the form of wooden, Gumbao Alejandro Zamora (saxophone) and the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra, directed by Brian George Webber.

End with the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, directed by Andrés Pérez Barnabas.

This thirteenth edition of the regional contest between strings and brass were presented 61 young performers in the six disciplines: brass, percussion, strings, guitar, woodwinds and piano.
