Twenty-four teachers of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena participating this year in the program assessment Docentia teaching activity, launched by the University and approved by ANECA.
The implementation of this program has been an example of participation, since there have been more than twenty-four teachers of the quota established by the development of it and have had to make a selection.
The novelty of this evaluation system is that the sources of data obtained for evaluation involves not only students but also participates in the professor and heads of schools and departments.
The data are analyzed by an evaluation committee consisting of ten members of the university community, two students, two vice presidents and an external evaluator.
Twelve teachers participated voluntarily in the past year Docentia.
Nine of them have achieved a rating of "very favorable" and three have received a grade of "favorable."
So far, the evaluation system was done through questionnaires to students at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

This latest data shows that in the four last years the percentage of teachers who have received assessments below five points has been reduced by half.
The criteria most valued by students UPCT are the domain of subject teacher and the availability of tutoring time teachers.
Of the nineteen undergraduate, first and second cycle, twelve of them obtained the highest score during the last year, noting also that ten of the titles have achieved over the past four years a continuous improvement in their assessments.
Another fact that is extracted from this document is the score obtained postgraduate programs UPCT with an average above 7.5.
The specialization of content and the smaller number of groups that perform these courses could be the reasons behind the better grade.
Each course is over fifty thousand analyzed data from about 15,000 questionnaires are summarized in more than one evaluation reports.
This amount of information necessary to conduct studies of reliability and validity of the results obtained, using a battery of statistical tests.
Annually, about 750 subjects have been assessed and about five hundred teachers.
Finally, the report concludes that while teachers must be attributed to the merit of teaching improvement, we can say that the evaluation process for teachers has a positive influence.
