On 8 April is International Roma Day with a series of events organized by the Municipal Social Services City of Cartagena, with the collaboration of associations Gitano Forum, Asprosocu, Maranatha and O'udar Kalo.
Activities will begin at 12.00 noon with the reading of the manifesto to the doors of the Town Hall, which will also hear the gypsy song (Gelem Gelem).
The ceremony will be enlivened by a circus and entertainment group will be shared bookmark with gypsy flag and rose petals, ending with a traditional ceremony in the Port River.
In the afternoon, starting at 17.30 hours, the celebration moves to Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, with performances by music students from the Forum workshop Gitano flamenco dance exhibitions, a parade of costumes typical sewing Asprosocu and sing bulerías.
This year also will honor Luis Moreno Aguilera.
