Paco Carbonell and Martin SL, Elche who works plant and pruning of palm trees to the municipal parks and gardens, has given the council with a typical Elche palm, which looks out on the balcony of the Mayor of the Town Hall.

It is a palm worked, about eight feet tall, and will adorn the building during Holy Week, as a symbol typical of these days the traditional Procession of the Palms of Palm Sunday last.

Apparently, the twisting of the palm has been produced by the same company that usually provides this type of ornament to the Royal House and the Vatican.
