The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, received this morning at the Palace Hall to the newly elected president of the Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Martinez, and part of its new executive committee at a meeting in which the protocol meeting tradition passed directly , at a meeting.
City Council and Chamber share issues of common interest related to the development of the city and its productive and, therefore, we'll get to work to establish a system of working groups with institutional and technical meetings in areas susceptible to joint collaboration, such as tourism, which, despite being very competitive, we have put in a good position, said Barreiro.
The Chamber also asked the City Council to support, showing their good relations at the institutional level, we open doors for future trade missions.
One of the factors that will be decisive for the cooperation of both entities will be the future Auditorium and Congress Palace.
In this sense, the mayor has invited Miguel Martinez who will soon visit the building to check the status of the works.
Finally, during the meeting, both Barreiro and Martinez have pointed out the importance of transport infrastructure and the development of the city, highlighting the need to revive that reaches Cartagena AVE.
