The secretary general of the Presidential and Public Administration, José Gabriel Ruiz, received today the task of 'Knight of Santiago' granted by the National Association of Civil Guards Marqués de las Amarillas in recognition of his support for victims of terrorism and impetus to regional law of solidarity with these victims.
José Gabriel Ruiz was honored during the course of events framed in the 'I Homage to the Victims of Terrorism, Armed Forces and Security Forces ", organized by that association, held in Cartagena.
Also be distinguished with this award to the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras and regional deputy, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, to the presidents of associations and Amuvite AVT, and all victims of terrorism in the region.
He was also recognized the work done in this area by the Regional Assembly and the city of Cartagena.
The program of events included the celebration of Mass and an act of homage to the flag, followed by the appointment of honorary members, ladies and gentlemen of Santiago Pilar.
The acts, which was attended by several hundred people, ended with a wreath to the victims of terrorism in the monument dedicated to them in the Plaza of Heroes in Cavite.
