Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto along with the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, this morning visited the school Our Lady of Dolorespara intercultural participate in a conference whose central Ireland, including in activities that are being developed within A municipal school program open to other cultures.
This school is part of the Network of Bilingual Cartagena, which aims to improve students' language skills in the mother tongue and foreign languages.
It is one of the reasons that it has determined that the intercultural work with reference to Ireland to strengthen the English and Anglo culture.
The activities began on Monday with an exhibition of works by students from the all over Ireland, completing over the whole week with different workshops related to the identity of this country.
Maroto and Calderon have seen the shows of these workshops have the cooperation of parents, through the Center AMPA.
Thus, students have performed traditional dances from Ireland, have sung songs of groups like The Corrs Breathless and popular songs.
Following those performances, storytelling performances held on goblins and legends narrated known authors like Oscar Wilde.
Students also held cultural and sports-related games with Ireland.
The day ended with a surprise performance by parents of students.
