The Social Council met today UPCT treaty, among other things, the installation of Oceanography Centre in Cartagena.
The Social Council has agreed, unanimously, to issue the following resolution: "The Social Council understands the proposal for the installation of the Centre in Cartagena, and in principle the proposed location must be conceived as a comprehensive project and solidarity in its broadest concept, which serves as a link for all, without any exclusion and seeking above all the strengthening and development of structures for study, research and technology that ensures the progress of oceanographic studies, with all the consequences positive this would lead to Cartagena and the University. "
Among the topics covered, the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension, Francisco Martínez, has reported on the activities of promotion and dissemination of UPCT and on the next edition of the Summer Courses.
During the meeting, has been sworn in as a member of the Social Council José Luis Huertas Martínez, on behalf of the COEC of Cartagena.
