On Friday March 12 Councilman Social Care, Antonio Calderon, opened the season for Seniors Dance at the Casino de Cartagena, accompanied by the President of the Federation of Senior Citizens' Club, Mary Beteta, and the Director of the Institute of Municipal Sociable Services, Antonio Mula.
The more assistance the charity ball, made a donation of 5 euros to go to institutions of social action.
Noted that the capacity of the Casino was overwhelmed by the large turnout for the Elderly.
The color and feel of the participants made it possible to move the Casino de Cartagena brightest times, at this event organized by the city of Cartagena.
Many people, from the biggest clubs in the municipality, participated in this dance of time, dressed in clothing typical of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
CASINO HISTORY
The Casino de Cartagena, where the municipality Seniors held their dance time since 1861 is located in a XVIII century palace on Main Street.
The eighteenth-century facade recalls that the building was the former home of the Marquis de Casatilly, finally remodeled by architect Victor Beltrí in 1897.
The decor and furnishings are modern, and has more than 2,000 square feet on four floors.
