The Association of Civil Guards Marqués de las Amarillas Cartagena has chosen to celebrate the First Tribute Victims of Terrorism, Armed Forces and Security Forces, to be held on Friday, March 19, the feast of San José, and the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, announced that on this occasion will open the newly renovated plaza CIM, chosen for the event.
Cartagena has always been distinguished for its unwavering support to victims of terrorism and for his advocacy of democracy and freedom, and now appreciate that you choose to celebrate this first tribute, said Barreiro, who in the presentation of the event was accompanied by President of the Association, Juan Carlos Gabriel Diaz, vice president of the company and the socialist municipal group's spokesman, Charity Rives.
The tribute will begin with a mass for victims at 11.30 am in the parish of Santo Domingo and military, as in the square of CIM, at 12.30 hours, there will be a tribute to the flag, a moment of silence honor of deceased Armed Forces and Security Forces, and thereafter, there will be nominations and awards, some of them posthumously.
Among the awards, noted to be awarded the Grand Cross of Knight of Santiago, for his work in defense of freedom and service to the citizen, the head of the local police in Cartagena, Manuel Asensio, Murcia Manolo Hurtado Senator, Mayor of Ceuta for 25 years, and the coroner Cartagena Emilio Perez Pujol, among others.
There will also be special mention for institutions such as the Regional Assembly and the city of Cartagena, appointments of Honorary Members and Ladies of the Pilar.
The event will end with a floral tribute at the memorial to the victims of terrorism in the port.
The president of the Association of Civil Guards Marqués de las Amarillas has appealed to citizens to go to this event open and called to convince them that we are all one against terrorism.
