During the last fifteen years of government People's Party in the City Hall of Cartagena, the Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez has not met any of the numerous promises made to residents of La Manga Area.
Among the most significant highlight the promise to build AREA SPORTS IN THE NURSERY (ALONG COLLEGE AND INSTITUTE) TENNIS COURT REFORM AND CONSTRUCTION OF SPORTS COMPLEX IN CALAFLORES; SPORTS-TOURIST COMPLEX "Mar Menor" in Playa Paraiso, among others.
All these have been promises, promises only UNFULFILLED today without onlookers.
AREA SPORTS IN THE NURSERY (along College and IES Las Salinas)

Current Status: DELAY FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND NOW STOP WORK shows the effects of this neglect.

As stated by Salvador Martinez, head of the Socialists in the area, "It is shameful that we have to leave the press to remind people that none of the promises of the Councillor for Sports, Mr Alonso Gómez, has been accomplished after fifteen years head of the Department. And today more than 1500 youth in La Manga, Cabo de Palos and spheres of influence have the sad privilege of not having any sports area built during the last fifteen years of Popular Party government. Only € 35,000 has been invested in Playa Honda and has been funded by the PLAN-E of the Government of Spain. A shame. "
