More than three hundred students and members of the university community have participated in blood donation campaign that the Regional Centre of Blood Donation was made at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
During the three days that the campaign was developed in the UPCT donation were collected over 150 pints of blood, rising to join the reserves of the Regional Centre of Blood Donation.
Volunteers who attended to give an interview they were made prior to rule out disease, they took the hemoglobin level and blood pressure, and they took blood samples for further analysis that would ensure their suitability.
The results of these tests are mailed to each donor in the following weeks.
These campaigns help ensure the blood supply in health centers.
