The foundation Cartagena Convention Bureau was officially established this morning at the Palace Hall, the meeting of its board members, who have taken their first decisions: choosing the logo, set up a Website and to appoint Councilwoman Culture and Women, Rosario Montero, manager of the entity.
As explained Rosario Montero, the foundation aims to offer the city of Cartagena and its various facilities to host conferences and conventions.
It is integrated with the City of Cartagena, the two boxes (Box Cajamurcia Mediterranean) COEC and Chamber of Commerce.
Previous work of the foundation has been conducting for several months, and presented to the entrepreneurs and attended the International Fair of Barcelona conference.
Rosario Montero recalled the importance of convention tourism, which grows year years, and Cartagena where the market wants to gain a foothold, as it did earlier in the cultural tourism and cruise.
The flagship of this offer is undoubtedly the new Auditorium and Congress Palace.
According to Montero, the infrastructure will be ready later this year, but first you have to do an important job to organize and localize properly supply all demands.
The Foundation Board also agreed a plan of action based on the presence of the city in new international fairs, and has approved their budgets, along with the contributions of each partner.
