La Botica Cultural Association Book Awards today presented the Fourth World Short Story Contest, a literary contest open to all persons of foreign origin who had to leave their homeland to come to Spain and been translated into a narrative experience.
This is real life experiences brought to the literature by their own protagonists.
Stories to get excited, to mourn or laugh, but above all to step into the shoes of people who sometimes have been very difficult.
In this issue has been put to tender more than 40 stories of immigrants from different countries such as Ghana and Mali, and especially in Morocco.
La Botica del Libro is a cultural association that has worked for years in the districts of José M ª Lapuerta and Lo Campano, managing two popular libraries for the purpose of social integration and intercultural created from donations of citizens and institutions, and whose work has received significant national and international awards from organizations such as the European Commission or the Obra Social La Caixa.
The event, which will be open and will be held at 20.30 am in the Centre and Primary School José M ª Lapuerta, preceded by a special representative in charge of the company's Thompson, who has staged a selection of stories of the first three calls of the competition and is entitled "The Forest of Tales of the World.
This award, organized by the Pharmacy and the Coordinadora de Barrio by Jose M ª Lapuerta and special involvement of the Youth Group Lapuerta, has the support of the City of Cartagena by the departments of Social Services, Youth and Education and integrated into the program of activities of the sixth week Intercultural Bda.
José M ª de Lapuerta, under the slogan 'An open door to all' will be held from 8 to 14 March.
