The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderón, accompanied by executives and technicians Asociacón Rascasa, yesterday visited schools Our Lady of the Sea of Santa Lucia and Hannibal to Los Mateos Awards Integrated Painting Contest: A Look to Diversity.
Calderón handed over four bicycles to the four winners of the competition in events commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the Association Rascasa.
The students were awarded Abad Catherine Sanchez, 5, and Nouhayla Yacoubi, 12, of Hannibal school.
Gisela Pérez Egea, 7, and Loli Martin Mecca 8 years were the winners of the College of Nuestra Señora Del Mar.
The drawing contest is framed within the activities planned by the Association Rascasa in commemoration of their twentieth year of activity.
To celebrate this anniversary Rascasa Association is launching a series of activities aimed at promoting multiculturalism in the neighborhoods of Los Mateos, Lo Campano and Santa Lucia, as part of these acts the drawing competition, which aims at sensitizing the child population in the fight against racial discrimination, promoting coexistence between cultures.
Rascasa Association plans to hold its twentieth anniversary from February to January 2011, a range of activities like drawing competition, drama, tree planting and open days, a week of sports, competition photography, exhibitions, concerts, tours, workshops on children and youth choral concert and other events planned to celebrate its twentieth year of work in Cartagena.
