Ecologists in Action and Neighbors Gorguel required to be included in the minutes of the meeting between the President of the Port Authority of Cartagena Mayor of the Union and the political forces in this county the unfortunate statements made by Adrian Angel Viudes and that provide a copy of the document to both.
Both groups join forces to demand that the minutes are included in each and every one of the statements that were made during the meeting that took place in the afternoon of March 5, 2010 in the municipality of La Union.
The meeting was convened by the President of the Port Authority of Cartagena, Adrian Angel Viudes, promotional video to show the proposed installation of a container terminal in the Gorguel the Mayor and the various political forces in this county: PP, PSOE and IU, which have combined to position itself strongly against the installation of the Gorguel Macropuerto.
A large group of neighbors gathered Gorguel in front of City Hall with the intention of being present at the meeting and require the chairman of the Port Authority of Cartagena to leave for a time as its star project that would entail heavy losses.
After a timeout is allowed entry to three representatives of local residents which showed Gorguel Adrian Angel Viudes its intention to hold a meeting with him since he had declared that as of September was to inform all citizens of the project to what Angel Viudes Adrian replied that "it was impossible if it was for public debate and that if he was to report that there was the promotional video" and likewise stated that "Sierra Minera Gorguel and beach are a mess"; to responders in the event the neighbors and the Mayor of the Union had to ask Adrian Angel Viudes repeatedly to calm down and come down the voice.
Neighbors and Ecologists in Action Gorguel require that these statements are found and Angel Adrian remind Viudes high environmental and cultural values that are present in the area such as: Site of Geology (LIG), LIC of the marine environment of the stretch of coast to which the Gorguel, and the Sierra de la Fausilla which is listed as SCI and SPA both European and protections included in the Natura 2000 network, so that nothing should underestimate this part of coastal mountains and forming a zone with high biodiversity and should be preserved by law.
As these groups reiterate the fact that it is unacceptable that a person holding public office, as is the President of the Port Authority of Cartagena, and direct the public and does not have any kind of ruthlessly when to make disrespectful statements towards these groups that only defend the public interest over private.
Ecologists in Action, and recalls that in January 2010 requested the removal of Adrian Angel widow as president of the Port Authority of Cartagena and that these statements would join those already submitted by this group as an argument for this request.
