The Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, through the Tourism Program Active and Healthy (TAS), has launched a new walking trail for the elderly to be held on Friday 26 February.
This is the path to the Grind, a distance of 10 km that covers the areas of Campo de Cartagena from Canteras - Galifa - La Muela, where you can enjoy a sharp rise surrounded by small bushes and trees.
The route runs through a rock formation located at 551 meters above the sea level.
Is covered with thickets, pine trees and bushes, and is home to numerous examples of golden eagles, foxes, wild boars and genets.
At the foot of the Sierra de la Muela is located Playa del Portus, located seven miles of the city, which has a naturist campsite.
The 50 largest involving this pathway will focus on the point of departure, the esplanade of Peak, at 9:15 am and will be accompanied by experts of the Municipal Institute of Social Services.
Hiking is an activity that is included in the TAS program (Active Tourism and Health) of the elderly and disabled unit.

The next tour will be held on March 12 with the path "Cehegín" Bullas Caravaca, last stage of the Camino de Caravaca in this jubilee year.
