UPCT and the Brotherhood of Veterans Infantry Regiment Spain 18, in collaboration with the Regiment of Artillery Antiaircraft n º 73, Cartagena, have organized a series of activities in connection with the Army's presence in the headquarters of Antigone, the current headquarters School of Telecommunication Engineering.
The program of activities includes the photographic exhibition "The Infantry Barracks Antigones and esplanade of the Plaza de Toros (1920-1981)" which can be seen on the first floor of Antigone and will last from 10.00 to 14.00 h.
and from 16.00 to 20.00 h.
until next February 27.
In the exhibition you can see historical images of detachments during the twentieth century occupied the barracks.
On Thursday, February 25 at 19.00.
Juan Antonio Gómez Vizcaino give a lecture entitled "Men and facts. Past, Present and Future", in the Auditorium of the School of Telecommunications Engineering (Old Barracks Antigones).
Gómez Vizcaino is the author of several books related to the military history of Cartagena and since 1997 director of the Hall is Commander Villamartin.
The activities will conclude on Friday 26 February, at 12.30 hours, with the unveiling of a plaque in the courtyard of the former barracks in memory of the soldiers performing military service in their facilities.
