Cartagena City Council has awarded the company and Cleaning Services SL Guadalentín the refurbishment of the swimming pool cover, amounting to 147,383 euros, which will be amortized over the last 15 years in the granting of facilities in the Ussel of Guimbarda street.
The offer has been the most beneficial of the two submitted to public tender last July.
The works will begin shortly and is expected to last about two months and not affect the operation of the pool, according to sources have pointed Sports Department.
Consist of glass repair and sanitation of the pool, under cover of the arena located on the first floor, installing a new machine dehumidifier will remove the current problems of water condensation in the pool area and design of the outer zone where one side will be built two paddle courts.
The concessionaire will be responsible for the operation and rental of facilities, with rates supervised and approved by the City.
As stated in the municipal technical report, this operation will generate an annual deficit for the company estimated at 107,233 euros, which will check and pay the city of Cartagena at the end of each year.
It will be recalled from the August 2, when the grant expired the previous concessionaire, Grupis 92, the Department of Sports has been taking charge of their management to ensure its operation while developing the recruitment process .
