Students in 6 th Primary School Centre Sagrada Familia (Marist) participated yesterday in a visit from the ADE (Close to elite sports) organized by the Department of Sport and has the support of the Directorate General of Sports in the Community Autonomous Region of Murcia, Graduate College of Physical Education in the Region of Murcia and Club Sport for All, which took them to City Athletics Track in order to contact clubs and Elcano Athletics Athletics Club Cartagena.
During the meeting, attended by more than a hundred students enjoyed a day of sport in the hands of elite athletes from Cartagena.
Both Toni López (Vice-President of Club Athletic El Cano) and Alfredo Castilla (President of the Athletic Club El Cano) were over the day, offering an explanation of the sport, its rules, equipment, and training methods for sports.
Afterwards, the athletes from the Athletic Club Cartagena taught the students the basic technical disciplines initiation sprint, hurdles, long jump, high jump and shot put.
To end the activity, we proceeded to the customary exchange of gifts by the club, Sports Council of Cartagena and the Centre Holy Family School, in addition to posing for a family photo memory in the Municipal Athletic Track.
In short, a very fruitful activity for schoolchildren.
