The rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Félix Faura Mateu, and the president of the Association of Logistics Murcia, Jesús Ibáńez Molina, have signed a cooperation agreement whereby both institutions are committed to collaborative action.
The agreement aims to promote the study of logistics, infrastructure, associated technologies, training, coaching and training that will benefit the development of R + D + I.
Logistics covers the planning and management of the activities of purchasing, production, transportation, storage, handling and distribution.
Between the lines of work of the Logistics Association of Murcia, which brings together thirty leading companies in this sector with more than seven thousand employees include the development of technologies to optimize the logistics processes of enterprises, improving their competitiveness and help position Murcia advantageously products in domestic and international markets.
It also develops various initiatives in the field of alternative fuels to oil, in order to optimize consumption and reduce pollutant emissions to the atmosphere, in line with growing environmental awareness of the transport companies.
To do so is developing projects with the Department of Thermal and Fluid Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and Energy Management Agency of the Region of Murcia (ARGEM).
