The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, said today that the Theatre of Cartagena "will be a major cultural and tourist asset for the Region of Murcia."

On the way, the counselor said, "It was a pleasant surprise to find these remains so monumental."
"The Cartagena Amphitheater is placed in group of six monumental amphitheater discovered on the peninsula, so it will become an asset to exploit cultural and tourists in the region" said Cruz.
He noted that the remains found will "make us rethink the initial archaeological project that is commensurate with the magnitude of the findings."
Where work has been done since December in the old bullring have begun to explore new rooms and monumental structures: a first step, divided into five and separated by a corridor, as well as a box staircase that accessed the corridor.
