Valencia, Madrid, Seville, Toledo and Gijón are just some of the places of origin of the 19 groups that have been presented this year's Comedy Contest XII of La Palma, with character and unique in Spain, as the councilor stressed Culture, Rosario Montero, during the presentation of the event, which also were present and Bernardina José Antonio Pérez García, members of the Cultural Association and Theatre Now organizers.

Besides the three groups that choose to win the tournament (Konjuro Theatre Gijón, the Theatre Group of Toledo and 2 Corropla Toreros 2, Sevilla), the novelty this year is the participation of the theater group of the Association of Amas de Casa La Palma, who represents the play 'Twenty-five to fifty' during tribute to veteran actress Salvadora Egea Sánchez Palma (Salvador's Bakery), to be held on February 6 at the Civic Center with free entrance until full capacity.

Also noteworthy was the international premiere of the play "From outside the house who will throw you out ', Moreto Augustine, by the School of Dramatic Art Murcia, who will give a classical tinge to the event.

And like every year, children also will have their space, with the representation of 'The Princess sadder', by the theater company The Comedy of Murcia.

Responsible for closing the curtain on Comedy Contest, on February 27 will be the Cultural Association of La Palma Teatro Now, under the direction of Bernardina Garcia, represent "the last monkey 'by Charles Arniches before closing the contest and awards ceremony for the winners (best actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress and address), which will be awarded with a bronze statue sculptor Defruc Mayte Pozo Estrecho.

Remember that there is a payment of 25 euros for the five official representatives (not including child representation) and the ticket price per night will be 6 euros.
