The Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has convened its annual awards for science fiction stories and drawing, endowed with an amount of five thousand euros.
Also announces the awards distinguish companies, organizations and institutions of the UPCT in matters of research and promotion of employment and the award "Isaac Peral y Caballero" for groups UPCT research.
Award "Galileo" science fiction stories
Narratives can apply for the award based on hypothetical arguments about scientific or technical advances.
Should be around 6 to 8 pages.
The deadline for submission is May 31, 2010.
The first prize is 1,500 euros and two honorable mentions $ 500.
Similarly, the jury may give an indication of 500 euros to a university community member who has not received another award.
Award Nicomedes Gomez "Drawing
The prize is unpublished works whose theme is "Cartagena and its surroundings."
The originals will be made in any art in a format not larger than 100 x 70 cm.
The original deadline of end May 31.
Be awarded a first prize of 1,500 euros and a second prize of 1,000 euros.
Similarly, the jury may award a special mention of 500 euros for the best work submitted by a student UPCT.
Those interested in participating in any of these awards should send the original to the Secretary of the Board of the UPCT.

This award recognizes organizations and institutions that stand out especially in contract research and collaboration in research, technological development and innovation with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
The award is honorary, without funding.
The deadline for award nominations is 31 May 2010.
Award Alpera Felix Marti "a collaboration on the employability of students UPCT
This award recognizes organizations and institutions that are distinguished particularly by helping graduates UPCT by building careers, contracts for training, participation in job fairs and related activities to this end.
The award is honorary, without funding.
Award Isaac Peral y Caballero "research groups and development UPCT
This award distinguishes the research groups and development of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena have been particularly distinguished for the achievement of contract R & D + i for their collaboration on projects with organizations and institutions.
The deadline for applications ends on December 31, 2007.
