1,894 youth have participated in the Programme of Socio-Educational Intervention Youth Space in 2009, according to sources have told the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena.
This program was developed in collaboration with associations and youth groups, schools, parent associations, neighborhood associations, organizations and agencies working with young people
etc., offering talks and workshops ranging from the merely informational and outreach of the Youth Space and advice or service, or on matters of interest to young professionals or adults interested in youth issues.
In total there have been a total of 69 training activities, the most popular being offered from the Space Citizenship, Health
Gender, Employment and Mobility.
These include talks related to the use of new technologies and their legal implications, or how to act if we are involved in a traffic accident, or what legal implications may arise from botelleo or drug use have attracted the attention of the young people and professionals and educators.
Other issues of concern to young people have the resources and tools can be used to find work, or even how to perform volunteer work at local and European.
However, the Sexual Affective education workshops, sex toys or chemistry in the kitchen, have been those who have raised more expectations.
The same sources explained that the Socio Intervention Program Youth Space is a key element of work and outreach is at the local level functions and resources from the perspective of the educational-training, preventive, promotional and extension, complementary to the work of comprehensive and specialized advice provided by the Youth Space on the premises.
