The Secondary School St. Isidore de Los Dolores closed yesterday the fourteenth edition of the cultural week in which, with the collaboration of the Youth Council have developed various activities, including the celebration of the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas.
This year, the contents of the week have been about art in all its manifestations, after previous editions have featured topics such as food, water, movies and comics.
The thing to note is the high involvement of teachers, students and AMPA, making the initiative to endure over the years.
One proposal that is repeated is the preparation of dishes of French gastronomy that are then sampled, with 35 recipes those submitted this year and 54 last, when they celebrated the twenty fifth anniversary of the center.
Among the activities planned are workshops, visits, exhibitions of works by students, competitions and monographic lectures aimed at different groups of compulsory high school and are prepared by teachers of different departments.
The day's program of St. Thomas Aquinas, school holiday, is wider to allow the participation of all students to the center with activities with a playful sense of education.
The idea is that everyone is involved, so that teachers with students competing in the games (football, trivia, games, volleyball) and is celebrated as the culmination of living in a meal that also involves parents of students in addition to administrative personnel and services.
