The Government of Spain has invested 1 million euros in full at the Museum of The Bun and a new Local social purpose in La Palma and a new Social Center in Los Belones
The works have created 43 new jobs
The Government of Spain 59,430,382 Cartagena invests directly in euros between 2009 and 2010 through State Funds
The secretary general of the Government Commission, José Camarasa, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, inaugurated this morning the new Museum of The Bun and the new clubhouse built under the Local Investment Fund in the deputation cartageneras La Palma.
They have also opened the new community center in Los Belones Rincon de San Ginés.
The new facilities have meant an amount of one million euros and created 43 new jobs, 25 of which have been newly established and 18 of persons within the two successful tenderers.
The works for the new Museum of Ethnography of The Bun has involved the construction of a new building on the ground floor to accommodate a work area for the recovery of traditional handicrafts including permanent exhibition hall of the work going on.
It has also arranged for a local women's association in La Palma.
The cost of the work has been of 380,577 euros and has created 21 jobs.
As for the new Local social use of La Palma, the Government of Spain has invested 200,000 euros in the construction of a building with an area of 173 square feet on two floors with a double use.
On the ground floor is situated the Municipal Information Office and the upper floor is intended to plenary hall, office and toilets.
In order to allow pedestrian continuity between the square and the next green space has been freed on the ground floor with pedestrian destination.
The works have employed 7 workers.
On the other hand, has been launched this morning, new Community Centre in Los Belones in the Rincon de San Ginés.
The new building has a basement store, ground floor where is located a multi-purpose hall, bar and toilets and first floor for outdoor events.
It also has space for offices, a library, exhibition hall and access to rehabilitated areas.
The Secretary General of the Government Office has indicated that the work of the State Fund are meeting the primary objective of this, job creation, but also are helping to improve infrastructure and facilities of the municipality.
"The City of Cartagena has had full autonomy to present the project and chose the actions deemed most necessary, at the same time, the Government of Spain is fully financed all the works," said Camarasa.
In this regard, the Secretary General pointed out that the City of Cartagena presented a total of 63 projects amounting to 36,687,188 euros and generating 1,169 jobs, of which 799 are newly created and 370 persons within enterprises .
José Camarasa also reported that the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability to be invested in 2010, will involve a further economic boost for the town of 22,743,193 euros.
"Overall, has clarified the Secretary General of the Government delegation to Cartagena receives from the Government of Spain to 59.5 million euros in two years: the largest investment made directly in Cartagena by any government in so little time and which clearly reflects the will of President Zapatero municipalist. "
The Local Investment Fund to date
The Secretary General has reported that to date, the Ministry of Planning Policy has been transferred to all municipalities in the region EUR 167,128,741, corresponding to 70 percent of the amount of each project.
In this sense, Camarasa stressed that already paid the first part of 99.85 percent of the projects submitted and only one project still pending, withdrawn by the city of Murcia.
Also pointed out that 30 percent is being delivered upon completion of each performance and justify the investment with the Government of Spain.
In this sense, José Camarasa explained that since late last June, is beginning to pay the completion of the work of the State Fund in the Region of Murcia and Cartagena in the town, the Government of Spain has already paid total cost of 14 projects.
On the other hand, have paid the 159 projects submitted in the Region.
