Orientation Program for Employment and Self-Employment Assistance (OREC) has served for the past nine months a total of 1,300 unemployed persons registered at the employment office of Cartagena, of which 152 have gotten a job.

Local Development Agency and Employment as a collaborating company manages and develops SEF OPEA Program, which aims to improve the chances of integration of the unemployed in the municipality of Cartagena.

The Guidance Department ADLE through OPEA, some 1,000 people have received individualized tutoring, custom tailored to the needs of each user taking into account their personal and professional profile, through a process of assistance and support in developing personal, social and labor that facilitate access and maintenance of a job and also promote initiatives towards self-employment.

In addition, we have offered workshops and group sessions in which resources are made available and tools to facilitate and improve the current labor market integration, taking into account the circumstances of unemployment has the Cartagena area, encouraging the unemployed to a new approach in its educational and professional career.

In the group talks have offered workshops Interview (TE), an active job search (BAE) and Development of Personal Aspects for Occupation (DAPO), with a total of fourteen workshops with a total of 180 users.

During the months of November and December, we have developed group sessions of three hours led to job seekers, so that attendees know of a more direct form of self-employment characteristics.

The sessions have allowed 107 young entrepreneurs to raise their ideas and then request individual tutoring where, with the help of professionals, develop a business plan as an essential tool for starting and developing a business.

OPEA Programme began on 23 April 2009 and ended on January 23, 2010.

It is expected that by next March to resume a new edition of the program.
