The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, attended enMadrid yesterday afternoon, the opening of the exhibition "The Story of a discovery, history of a project: Teatro Romano de Cartagena, which will be open until 14 February in the classroom culture Cajamurcia in Madrid (Calle Cedaceros 11).
The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and the president of Cajamurcia, Carlos Egea.
The sample, which was seen earlier in Cartagena and Murcia, trying to move the visitor what it meant the discovery of the Roman Theater in one of the most deprived districts of the city, and the story of his recovery.
A long process of 20 years, complex, but exciting.
The course is divided into four thematic blocks collected through photos, text and graphic documentation of the monument recovery process.
It starts in the evolution of the archaeological work, the parameters of its restoration and development of comprehensive project, designed by architect Rafael Moneo.
