A total of 1,100 children of fifty schools in the city, engaged on Wednesday 20 January in the different categories and modalities of a new edition of the Cross School, organized by the Department of Sports City of Cartagena on the premises of the Racing Circuit together with the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

This Final Municipal seek a place in the Regional Final to be held on February 4, also in the racing circuit facilities.

For the test, the Sports Council will coordinate a device consisting of five sports technicians, five judges of the Athletics Club Cartagena, 44 students TAFAD for race control, two doctors, three nurses, ICU, an ambulance and 30 buses for displacement of the runners.

Categories convened and the distances they will have to cover children in schools are as follows:

Male and female Benjamins (birth years 1900-1901) 1,000 meters.

Male and female fry (born in the years 98-99) 1,500 meters.

Male and female children (born in the years 96-97) 2,000 meters.

Cadets (94-95) and Young Women (90 to 93) 2,500 meters.

Cadets (94-95) and Young Men (90 to 93) 3,500 meters.

The first test starts about ten o'clock, and the awards ceremony, chaired by Councilman Sports City of Cartagena, Alonso Gómez López, is scheduled for 12.30.

Participating schools are: Antonio Ramos Carratalá, San Antonio Abad, Luis Grille, The Trough, Gabriela Mistral, Santa Maria del Buen Aire, Poet Antonio Oliver, Virgen del Carmen, Garden City, Hasdrubal, IES Pozo Estrecho, Virginia Pérez, San Isidro, Santa Florentina, San Cristobal, IES Los Molinos, Mediterranean IES, IES Pedro Peñalver, Marist, IES Isaac Peral, Narwhal, Virgen de Begoña, Leonardo Da Vinci, Nuestra Señora del Mar, San Vicente de Paul, Azorín, La Concepción, Beethoven, IES Bohio, San Fulgencio, Hannibal, San Félix, Miguel de Cervantes, Mediterranean, San Isidro, Feliciano Sánchez Saura, Carmelites, IES Jiménez de la Espada, Hispania, Mare Nostrum, Four Saints, The Incarnation, Franciscans, IES San Isidoro , IES Elcano, Admiral Bastarreche IES, IES Spartaria Carthage, Salesians and Vicente Medina.
