Neighbors of San Antonio Abad, as well as many other parts of the municipality, held on Sunday 17 January, the day of San Anton, the block parties, with eltradicional 'christening' of animals at the hands of the pastor of St. Anthony, and tasting the famous grilled octopus.
As is tradition, the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by other members of the Municipal Corporation, will participate in the activities organized during this festive event, which includes a Mass, las11, 00 hours, and a display of horses and carriages in the church square.
Dogs, canaries, cats and even turtles receive the holy water, while their owners savored squid and other delicacies in the bars that are usually installed on the Feast of the central streets of the neighborhood.
