The City of Cartagena with the RACC, recognized leader in the field of transport in Spain, has elPrograma of Education Mobility (PEM) to promote road safety and reduce road accidents.
The program's goal is to achieve an increasingly safe mobility through education and values education from childhood, a fact that contributes to the reduction of accidents and accidents in the future drivers.
In the program involving 1,050 students, equivalent to 42 classes of primary education.

The PEM has an interdisciplinary character.

The program, which is intended for students in 2nd and 3rd grade, will be held from today until 29 January in the following schools: St. John Bosco (Salesians), Santa Maria Buen Aire, St. James, Miguel de Cervantes, Narval Luis Calandre, Cartago, Aljorra, Beethoven, Garden City, lighters, La Concepción, Mastia, Four Saints.
This initiative complements others in the field of road safety education carried out by the Department of Education and the local police in Cartagena during the year and last year reached about 3,300 students from across the municipality.
THE STEP BY STEP PEM
Education Program for Mobility contains a CD-Room, with a very attractive image and includes 38 proposals of activities tailored to each subject.
This support can also provide interactive games and multimedia elements, elements that contribute to the school to approach the world of mobility from a recreational perspective.
Alongside the activities to be developed by teachers, CD-Room also includes a number of resources (videos, articles, books, Internet links) that allow teachers to broaden their knowledge on mobility.
This initiative began in 1994 when the Education and Training of the RACC Foundation went for training with the development of Road Safety Education Program, the predecessor of the new program, which for eight years allowed nearly 150,000 children made their first contact the world of road safety.
Along with the development of programs in schools, the Foundation has promoted other Training elements, such as working with governments in developing information campaigns and the introduction of mobility in the university.
During 2009, the Education Program for Mobility has reached 30,000 students in Spain, distributed in 218 schools of Andalusia, Valencia, Murcia, Baleares, Catalunya, Aragón, Madrid and Galicia.
The RACC, with 1,100,000 members, is the largest car club in Spain, a leader in the field of mobility.
