The performance of the Auto de los Reyes Magos returns to La Palma after 80 year absence and will on 6 January at 11.00 am in the Plaza Manuel Zamora of that council.

One of the main causes has remained parked for so many years this tradition was the loss of Palma liebreto adapting texts of the play "The Childhood of Christ 'by Gaspar Fernández and Avila, published in 1785.

José Sánchez Conesa, researcher and promoter of the Campo de Cartagena traditions, found by Juan González Castaño, official historian of Mula, the text in the library of the CAM.

Subsequently published the play with attached studies on these popular representations in the region and the region of Cartagena.

The cover was the work of Asensio Sáez.

Thanks to the cooperation of the neighborhood association of La Palma, the group 'Theatre Now, "Santa Florentina Parish and Grupo Folklorico de La Palma is recovering this beautiful Christmas tradition, the only one that will take place in this region.
