As stated by Salvador Martinez, spokesman of the Socialists in the area "is really incomprehensible that after so many years calling for a library in a position to meet the needs of more than 1000 youths in the area, the city continues to ignore their demands and not will provide a library service and decent internet access, despite having enough space in a building recently renovated and opened late last July.
With regard to neighborhood complaints, the Socialists are in solidarity with them and plan to ask for explanations in the next plenary why City Hall was decided to close the library a month and a half referring to "THE LIBRARY TAKES A BREAK" without that is a necessary public service and not a "luxury item" as one might think if we look at the tone of the poster to be displayed on the door to the building in a shameful way.
For Martinez, the Socialists demanded the immediate opening of the library and call the necessary measures by the Department of Education to the residents of La Manga (Cartagena TM) available as soon as possible STUDY ROOM, INTERNET ACCESS FREE WIFI, all in the many areas which still has untapped the building and always helpful timetables for all audiences.
