Christmas Repsol Integration, which helps the city of Cartagena by the council of Social Care, will focus this time around to painting.
Seven associations of people with intellectual and physical disabilities of the city, and as part of their therapy and training, have been shown the pictures at an exhibition at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy, allowing the society in general closer to the reality of different capacities.
The associations of persons with disabilities who participate in this initiative Repsol are: Graben, Astrada, apex, Astus-Prolam, ananda, EEC Early Lopez, IMAS Canteras.
They are dedicated to training and integration of people with mental illness, Down syndrome, intellectual disability, deafness and autism.
This initiative was launched in 2006 with the aim of bringing these disabilities to the rest of society.
Thus, through exhibitions of sculpture and paintings show the residents of the city the functioning of associations and the work day by day, performed to achieve full social inclusion work.
The exhibition, which will be open until January 8, was inaugurated Tuesday by the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon.
