On Monday the full City Council of Cartagena approved only with the votes of the advance PP General Urban Plan of the municipality of Cartagena.
After several years of its run its processing we presented a plan without consensus of political forces and that only approved by the PP government.
Furthermore there are unresolved issues such as judicial proceedings regarding the implementation of the Coastal Act as areas Azohía and Isla Plana and no application because it is not yet approved PORN (Plan Natural Resources Management).
From UPyD understand that there has been interest in making a General Plan that would solve the urban problems of Cartagena, but solved the problems of certain developers who are those most available land in the municipality.
Not considered a balanced growth of the provincial and rural areas, does not resolve the degradation of specific areas, leaving for later studies in detail what will be, what further delay its implementation.
We regret all the lost time not to solve the planning in Cartagena and in the meantime you can continue making changes to the plan is still in force to "solve" the problem of some.
A performance like this should be done with a broad consensus that can endure over time, but the way he does things the PP government, will have been a waste of effort and work that should be reviewed in another term, we trust can be present.
