Deputy Mayor, Agustín Guillén, met today at the Palace Hall the members of the Central Union of Irrigation Aqueduct Tajo Segura, who is visiting our city where he met for the first time, its governing board.
Welcome addition to our city and accompany them on a tour of the Palace itself and the Teatro Romano Hall, Guillen has taken the opportunity to defend the Tagus-Segura as one of the examples of solidarity between major regions of our country, and crucial to the development of the region over the past 30 years, 'the water was the Bird of the 70's.
The Deputy Mayor has also shown concern about the government team for the crisis that currently crosses the agricultural sector, one of the main productive sectors of the region of Cartagena, taking into account that 25 percent of fruits and Spain exported vegetables are produced in our field.
Finally, Guillen reminded visitors that the Union Irrigation is the most authoritative organization and authorized to defend the interests of water in the Region of Murcia, and should continue to work for it.
