Local police officers arrested in Cartagena last Monday morning, December 7, two individuals on suspicion of damage to the municipal street lighting.
A call to the 092 switchboard alerted about 0:30 in the morning so that they went to the street of Los Barreros, where two people who were trying to steal the wiring of street lamps.
The officers surprised the detainees, 41 and 21 years old, working inside a manhole.
One of them, to be surprised, tried to quickly get rid of pliers, which launched an open field.
A stepped involved are also a piece of wire just over five feet in length, later identified as employees of the Service the municipal lighting belonged to another chest that was forced.
The two men were taken to police station where the corresponding complaint was made.
