The Department of Education, in its program of theatrical performances for schoolchildren, has been scheduled for teachers and students of that, university and training POP DREAMS work, with Romeo & Juliet, which will be performed on 4 December in the Hall Cultural Center Events Luzzy Ramón Alonso de Cartagena.
These performances will take place in two morning sessions from 10 am h.
and 12 h.
The duration of the work is 65 min.
Some 600 students of the subject of English from different schools and institutes will attend the municipal offices.
The work is the first day of school of Ben, a high school kid, who at the door of the institute meets Samantha, a new girl this year will attend the same school.
Ben falls for Samantha, and with intent to know, it is pointed with her drama classes.
This year we mounted the play "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, musical version.
Ben will have to make to get the role of Romeo in the play, and that Samantha is Juliet.
His story is a current reflection of what the protagonists of Romeo and Juliet live in the original.
A play that in a comic today, analyzes the problems of adolescents in high school, and also allows us to meet a masterpiece of the famous writer William Shakespeare.
Prepare the material for classroom activities designed by the company THEATRE & EDUCATION FORUM consists of two parts.
On the one hand a CD text, which are cards with different activities like the synopsis of the plot, song lyrics, some choreography, drawings, discussions of some of the scenes of the play and a series of proposals to play class and introduce the new vocabulary at a time that is put into practice.
All dossiers contain instructions and exercise solutions for the teacher.
On the other hand, an audio CD in correspondence with some of the exercises that arise in the tabs, and the play.
There are listening exercises, dialogues and songs.
Also included is a karaoke version of a song so you can play better in class and then singing in the theater.
Attendance for students and faculty representation is free, subsidized by the Department of Education.
