Mayor Pilar Barreiro received today in his office to a representation of the Association of Our Lady of Mercy, in a formal ceremony in which he has delivered the first unadistinción municipal authority in recognition of his career processional highlighting the fact of being the first woman who preaches the Easter Cartagena.

At this meeting, which was held at the Palace Hall, attended by the president of the Group, José Luis Sáez Martínez, the vice president, José and Juan Alamo Celdrán Conesa, Secretary, José Luis Saez Hernandez, and members of the protocol and media and culture, and Rosario Lorca Mercedes del Carmen Garcia.

José Luis Saez explained that the group, each year, ranks the individuals who have shaped the Easter holidays, such as the processions of the Year, the Mayor and Town Crier Nazarene, in this case Pregonera, which has been the mayor, and do with the delivery of a sculpture that plays the Pieta by Michelangelo in the course of a meal.
