The work of monitoring public spaces and gardens that lead out of nine social partners of the Association of Unemployed People over 40 hired by the city council is paying off, filing the success of their work, as pointed out by Councillor Infrastructure, José Vicente Albaladejo, they have managed to serve as a nexus of proximity between the city and citizens, channeled their demands and providing valuable services such as help in crosswalks near schools or supervision of cleaning gardens.
In this regard, so far this year, from 1 January until 15 November, have collected a total of 2866 warnings that they have notified the public, referring mainly to deficiencies in infrastructure (sidewalks, driveway , lighting, street furniture), parks and gardens (graffiti, breaking in the playground, lighting) and cleaning traffic signs and solar fencing.
The first cooperation agreement between the PM40 and the city dating back to June 2008 with the recruitment of these players to cover the work of services closer to citizens, more than fulfilled its mission.
This has prompted the City Council extended the contracts in 2009, thereby increasing its presence and acceptance by the public.
