The new primary care clinics and the Albujón Cuesta Blanca, have opened their doors this morning to serve more than 8,000 people in these councils Cartagena, 5,500 and 2,500 The Albujón Cuesta Blanca, with an investment of more than 891,000 euros.
We anticipated the growth of the council for the construction of this new office of The Albujón, covering the needs of more than 6,000 Cartagena, twice the population it has now, said the minister of Health, M ª Ángeles Palacios, at the opening health center, next to the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro.
The new primary care clinic in El Albujón belongs to the district health-Pozo Estrecho Cartagena, with an investment by the municipality of 375,600 euros, and the Ministry of 395,000 euros.
On a floor of 343 sq meters two queries are distributed measurement of family, a pediatric nursing and three priests, one devoted to childcare.
As for the remodeling of the new center of Cuesta Blanca, owned by the district health-Mills Marfagones Cartagena, the city has allocated 17,870 euros and 102,700 euros counseling.
This will have set up a consultation in family medicine, a pediatric nurse and distributed in 108 square footage.
The new units feature a data network for the entire building, which enables the use of computerized medical record, and its connection with other healthcare facilities.
The Minister Maria Angeles Palacios recalled that by the end of this year or early January, will open the health center of town, and that next year would begin the work of the offices of the valley and La Palma, as well as the office Barrio de la Concepcion will become a health center.
With all these facilities, the mayor has highlighted how satisfied you are in, and which shall cover all primary care needs throughout the area of Cartagena, complete with a new general hospital, which will become operational in 2010.
