On 25 November, the Department of Women of the City of Cartagena International Day against gender violence with a series of events and activities dedicated to women in the municipality.
At 12.00 hours on the door of the Town Hall, will be the reading of a manifesto against such violence, why women are dying all over the world.
In the afternoon, will be made available to women of the town, bus to attend the activities organized by the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia.
To celebrate this event, were made during the month of November a series of activities that are home from a course of self-defense, to a discussion table, to a play and a video forum.
Courses are being developed defense.
In Central elPabellón, between the hours of 10.30 hours to 11.30 hours, is conducting a course which ends on December 22, while another will begin January 12 until 23 March.
In the Pavilion of the Mills Marfagones, women also learn the defensive strategies on Thursdays, from 16.30 hours to 17.30 hours and 17.00 hours Friday to 18.00, from 12 January to 25 March.
In addition, a day earlier, on November 24, hosting a video-Forum in the auditorium of the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy, 18.00.
Women can enjoy a screening of My Only, directed by Javier Balaguer.
Admission is free until all seats.
Following the broadcast of the film, will present the award to the winner of the Poster Contest Gender Violence, which has this year theme "Hear, see and not be silent."
Throughout the month, there has been a campaign to prevent domestic violence through commercials and have been placed giant bows on the front of City Hall Administration Building as a mark of revulsion at this kind of violence.
