School students participated Virgen de Begoņa Thursday in the second activity of ADE (Close to elite sports) have contacted the clubs table tennis men's and women's UCAM Cartagenarespectivamente Floymape and UCAM in Hall Specific Municipal table tennis.
The activity began with the presentation of men's club sports director, José Antonio Montalbán.
Later the students visited the hall and could see a large mural with pictures of different table tennis competitions and a cabinet full of trophies he had managed both clubs.
Then, from the stands, saw a high performance training of some players belonging to clubs.
Then sporting director Floymape UCAM told the students the rules and techniques based on table tennis as well as the characteristics and comprising parts of a shovel.
After the explanation, the students raised different issues about this sport.
Finally, both students and teachers could participate in a practical class with the cooperation of team players, who volunteered to play with the students a brief display.
The event concluded with the presentation of gifts, both by the Clubs as part of the Colegio Virgen de Begoņa and the Department of Sports, and professional players signed autographs for young athletes.
The ADE is organized by the Sports Council of Cartagena and has the support of the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, the Association of Graduates in Physical Education and Sport in the Region of Murcia and Sport for All Club Cartagena.
