2012 Beltrí Commission has organized, in collaboration with the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, a great act of charity to help the Little Sisters of the Poor in the Nursing Home Reform, the first chain Child Charity of the city to be held on Sunday 22 November from 11.45 hours.
This is a great human chain to form beneficial relationship between the Church of Charity, the temple of our patron saint and symbol of charity than Cartagena, and the Nursing Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor, covering a distance of about a mile and a half children holding hands.
It will consist of children because children from different schools in the municipality who have registered to participate in this event, and is beneficial because once formed the chain, members of the same will make its contribution so that it arrives in the Asylum.
Remember that this building, along with the Casa del Niño, the Board, the House of Mercy, or the Hospital Santa Teresa, part of the work done by the prolific architect Victor Beltrí for charities of Cartagena.
ITINERARY
The route to follow would be:
Charity Street, Arco de la Caridad, Plaza de San Francisco, Honda, Puerta de Murcia, Calle del Carmen, Tolosa Latour, Calle Real, Avenida Pío XII and Calle Mayor.
The distance is approximately about 1380 meters and, given the length of the race to follow, the sections will be divided among all the schools invited to this event.
DEVELOPMENT ACT
The chain begins at the door of the Church of Charity with the first exchange to introduce your donation into a box provided for this purpose, which will be on a wheelchair guarded by local police officers, and accompany the following relievers.
Thus the chain will be a great start to the Asylum and at the end there shall deliver the ballot box seat with the last relay, which will be the Mother Superior of the Sisters of the Poor.
