The Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in an extraordinary meeting today approved the report of secondment to the University Center UPCT Defense General Air Academy in San Javier.
It was also reported positively on the implementation of the Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering to be taught at this center.
The Council was also informed of the agreement between the University and the Infrastructure and Facilities Management of defense for acquisition by the UPCT of 19,000 square meters of the old Club Santiago for an amount of 3,288,884 euros.
This agreement, signed on Tuesday the president of the UPCT, Felix Faure, and Secretary of State for Defence, Constantino Mendez, will expand sports and recreational facilities of the University.
Social Council president, Juan José Pedroza, presented during the meeting a report on the project to get the campus of international excellence.
Finally, it approved the convening of the sixth annual awards Social Council.
